Event Templates

Event templates allow organizers to create reusable configurations for tournaments, making it easier to set up recurring events with consistent settings.

Creating an Event Template

  1. Navigate to the Events section in your admin dashboard
  2. Click on the Templates tab
  3. Select Create New Template
  4. Fill in the template details:
    • Template name
    • Default game format
    • Round structure
    • Payout structure (if applicable)
    • Registration settings
  5. Click Save Template

Using Templates for New Events

  1. When creating a new event, select Use Template from the event creation screen
  2. Choose your template from the dropdown menu
  3. The form will be populated with the template settings
  4. Make any event-specific adjustments as needed
  5. Complete the event creation process

Managing Templates

Editing Templates

  1. Go to the Templates tab in the Events section
  2. Find the template you want to modify
  3. Click the Edit button
  4. Make your changes and save

Duplicating Templates

To create a variation of an existing template:

  1. Find the template you want to duplicate
  2. Click the Duplicate button
  3. Give the new template a unique name
  4. Modify settings as needed
  5. Save the new template

Deleting Templates

  1. Locate the template in the Templates list
  2. Click the Delete button
  3. Confirm deletion when prompted

Best Practices

  • Create templates for your regularly scheduled events (weekly tournaments, monthly championships, etc.)
  • Use descriptive names that clearly identify the template purpose
  • Review and update templates periodically to ensure they align with current needs
  • Consider creating different templates for different game formats or player counts
