Event Templates
Event templates allow organizers to create reusable configurations for tournaments, making it easier to set up recurring events with consistent settings.Creating an Event Template
- Navigate to the Events section in your admin dashboard
- Click on the Templates tab
- Select Create New Template
- Fill in the template details:
- Template name
- Default game format
- Round structure
- Payout structure (if applicable)
- Registration settings
- Click Save Template
Using Templates for New Events
- When creating a new event, select Use Template from the event creation screen
- Choose your template from the dropdown menu
- The form will be populated with the template settings
- Make any event-specific adjustments as needed
- Complete the event creation process
Managing Templates
Editing Templates
- Go to the Templates tab in the Events section
- Find the template you want to modify
- Click the Edit button
- Make your changes and save
Duplicating Templates
To create a variation of an existing template:- Find the template you want to duplicate
- Click the Duplicate button
- Give the new template a unique name
- Modify settings as needed
- Save the new template
Deleting Templates
- Locate the template in the Templates list
- Click the Delete button
- Confirm deletion when prompted
Best Practices
- Create templates for your regularly scheduled events (weekly tournaments, monthly championships, etc.)
- Use descriptive names that clearly identify the template purpose
- Review and update templates periodically to ensure they align with current needs
- Consider creating different templates for different game formats or player counts
