# Event Management

Spicerack provides comprehensive tools for managing various types of events, from small local tournaments to large conventions. This section covers everything you need to know about creating and managing events.

## Types of Events

### Tournaments

Tournaments are individual competitive events that you create on Spicerack for registration or pairings. They can be:

* In-store events
* Online tournaments
* Convention side events
* Championship events

### Imported Events

Events that are imported from other platforms or systems. These can be managed and tracked within Spicerack while maintaining their original data.

### Event Templates

Reusable event configurations that help you quickly create new events with consistent settings.

### Collections

Groups of related events that can be managed together, perfect for organizing convention side events or recurring tournament series.

## Event Management Features

### Event Status

Events can be in various states:

* Registration Open
* Registration Closed
* Event In Progress
* Event Finished

### Visibility Options

Control who can see and register for your events:

* Public - Visible to everyone
* Unlisted - Only accessible via direct link
* Private - Restricted to specific participants
